The New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees, representing over 8,500 unionized public and private employees in New Brunswick, is seeking applications to fill a full-time permanent Labour Relations Officer position. This position is based in Fredericton. The position requires a person who is dynamic and independent, has strong problem solving skills, and functions well in a team environment.

Duties: A full range of labour relations services will be assigned including, membership representation, research, local organizing, contract administration, and assistance with preparation for contract negotiations. The position will work in a team with other Labour Relation Officers employed with the Union to provide services to members throughout the province. Travel is required.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have experience in the labour relations field including interpretation of collective agreements in both official languages. Spoken and written proficiency in both official languages is therefore required. A proficiency test may be conducted. The salary for this unionized position is from $2,863 biweekly to $3,657 biweekly.
