Members vote in favour of contract

Members of the Loch Lomond Villa component voted in favour of ratifying a tentative agreement reached with the employer on Sept. 27.
The vote took place on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
“We presented the deal to members, they evaluated it and ultimately decided to accept it,” said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle. “I want to thanks the bargaining teams on both sides of the table for their hard work and professionalism during negotiations.
“Our members have shown tremendous patience throughout this process. They do a tremendous job everyday under difficult circumstances and that was made even tougher throughout this pandemic.”
Loch Lomond Villa members’ previous contract expired in 2016. The new contract is for six years and will last – once officially signed – until October of 2022.
