Loch Lomond Villa members sign new deal

The members of the Loch Lomond Villa component, represented by the New Brunswick Union, signed its new collective bargaining agreement.
The deal became official on Nov. 26 after members of the both bargaining teams signed the contract.
This marks the end of more than four-year wait for the workers as the previous agreement expired on Oct. 15, 2016.
The new collective bargaining agreement is six years in length and is set to expire on Oct. 15, 2022.
“Members working in nursing homes demonstrate on a daily basis how valuable they are,” said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle. “The COVID-19 pandemic made this even more apparent. We’re glad to get a deal done that is good for everyone involved be it workers, residents and the employer.”
