Administrative Services Officer II
New Brunswick Union of Public & Private Employees

The New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees, representing over 9,500 unionized provincial government and private sector employees in New Brunswick, is seeking applications to fill this full-time position in Fredericton.

Duties: This position will assist with accounts payable/receivable principles and clerical duties such as, but not limited to: reviewing invoices, processing expense claims, processing payments, keeping filing system for accounts payables/receivables, preparing bank deposits, reconciliation of monthly bank statements, preparing documents for year-end. You will provide professional administrative support handling sensitive information with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a certificate of completion of a recognized post-secondary accounting course or equivalent experience and will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sage300. Although this position is not deemed to be bilingual (French and English), proficiency in both French and English would be an asset. The individual must be flexible, fast-learner, results-oriented, self-motivated, and have solid problem-solving skills. The successful applicant will be able to work efficiently and accurately with great attention to detail to achieve deadlines while managing multiple tasks. As an ASO II, you will have exceptional member service skills and be an enthusiastic team player.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate the required abilities during the interview process to be given further consideration. Those selected for an interview will be required to complete computer software tests.

Subject to the response to this competition, required qualifications may be modified.
NB Union offers a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. The salary is from $1,624.15 to $2,074.97 bi-weekly.
