Nurses deserve fair collective agreement

The New Brunswick Union (NBU) completely supports the New Brunswick Nurses Union (NBNU) as it heads back to the negotiating table with the provincial government.
Members of the NBNU recently voted 92 per cent in favour of a strike action with its contracts being expired by three years. The two sides resumed negotiations today.
“Our members know firsthand the tremendous job nurses do because they work alongside them in the health care system,” said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle. “They’re fighting to improve our system because as anyone who works in health care will tell you, we have a lot of issues that have gone unresolved for many, many years.
“Our hope is the two sides can reach an agreement that shows the nurses the respect they deserve and starts the process of getting our health care system on track for the better."
