Resource Services vote to ratify contract

The Resource Services component, represented by the New Brunswick Union (NBU), voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement with the provincial government on Thursday, Jan 13.
The group reached a tentative agreement with the employer on Jan. 4.
“We’re very happy the members chose to ratify the contract,” said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle. “I want to thank the bargaining for their hard work on behalf of their colleagues and all Resource Services members for their patience throughout the process.”
The contract is for five years covering April 16, 2018 through April 15, 2023.
The Resource Services component professionals monitor harvesting operations on crown land and provide conservation enforcement of water, land and wildlife throughout the province. In addition to their regular duties, they played an integral role during the pandemic monitoring our provincial borders.
