The Medical Science Professionals (MSP) bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with the provincial government on a new collective agreement on Oct. 13, 2022.

“The negotiating team has been working very hard on behalf of their colleagues,” said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle. “It has taken a long time to reach this point given the delays that have happened due to the pandemic, but we’re very pleased to have reached this stage.”
The MSP component represents several professionals including Medical Lab Technologist; Respiratory Therapist; Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist; Nuclear Medicine Technologist; Diagnostic Imaging Technologist; Electroneurophysiology Technologist; Medical Electrophysiology Technologist; Anesthesia Assistant; Medical Radiation Technologist; Medical Sonography Technologist; Clinical Specialist; Health Information Professional; Dosimetrist; Radiation Therapist; Registered Cardiology Technologist, Paramedics, Tissue Bank Specialists, among others.
The members work in hospitals, the Extra-Mural Program, Ambulance NB, and public and mental health clinics across the province.
“The next step will be to present the tentative agreement to members, answer their questions and hold a ratification vote,” said Proulx-Daigle.
